ABOUT

Welcome to Strike9T CIC, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to delivering engaging Multi-Sport activities tailored for youth aged 5-16 across various locations in the West Midlands. Our mission is simple: to activate, challenge, and inspire young minds within safe, local environments through physical engagement and mentorship.

At Strike9T, we're committed to enhancing local sports and recreational facilities, providing youth with opportunities to foster active, healthy lifestyles. We believe in instilling long-lasting positive habits and contributing to the holistic growth of young individuals. Beyond the physical benefits, we strive to create a fun, safe, and supportive space where youths can socialize, belong, and nurture their mental well-being.

In recognition of the challenges parents face in balancing work and childcare, we offer affordable solutions. As registered providers with OFSTED, we ensure high-quality youth provisions staffed by experienced coaches. Our sessions are often offered free of charge or at heavily subsidized rates, ensuring accessibility for all.

Additionally, for young people aged 15 and above, we provide valuable volunteering opportunities and training programs, offering a pathway to paid work. Reach out to discover more about how you can get involved!

What sets us apart?

At Strike9T CIC, our commitment to providing exceptional experiences for youth sets us apart. Over the years, our camps and sessions have seen remarkable growth, with some venues hosting up to 150 attendees per day during our Summer Camps last year. We're proud to maintain such high numbers throughout the year, offering engaging sports sessions and nutritious meals to all participants.

Our success in retaining participants is attributed to several key factors. Firstly, we offer a diverse range of activities, ensuring there's something for every child to enjoy. Furthermore, our sessions take place in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, fostering a sense of fun and camaraderie. Central to our approach is our dedicated coaching team, comprised of young, friendly, and engaging individuals who connect effortlessly with the children. Our camps are inclusive spaces, welcoming children from all cultural backgrounds, genders, and abilities, with trained staff equipped to support those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Moreover, our coaching team exemplifies our organisation's ethos of growth and development. Many of our coaches began their journey with us as participants, then progressed to volunteers before ultimately becoming paid, qualified coaches. This success story not only speaks to the impact of our programs but also highlights our commitment to nurturing talent and empowering young individuals to reach their full potential.

Benefits?

At Strike9T CIC, we utilise sport to empower youth by:

  1. Fostering Healthy Habits: Encouraging the adoption of sports and physical activity as integral parts of daily life, promoting a sustainable, active lifestyle. Regular physical exercise not only prevents diseases but also improves heart health and reduces the risk of obesity in the long term.

  2. Promoting Well-being: Supporting physical, social, and mental health through regular participation, social interaction, and stress relief provided by physical activity. Engaging in sports helps boost energy levels and uplift mood by triggering the release of endorphins, the body's natural "feel-good" hormones.

  3. Building Confidence and Social Skills: Offering opportunities to develop confidence and social skills, fostering positive relationships and friendships within a supportive environment.

  4. Enhancing Self-esteem and Body Image: Empowering youth to challenge themselves, set goals, and realise their potential, thus improving their self-confidence and perception of body image.

  5. Providing Career Opportunities: Offering valuable work experience, training opportunities, and a pathway to employment, enhancing career prospects in areas of interest.

Overall, our aim is to provide a safe and inclusive space where children and young people can explore a variety of sports and enrichment activities, regardless of social or economic barriers.
